Spoken Language - Presenters
This unit requires you to focus on the way in which people use spoken language to affect their audience. The markscheme has three strands to it:
1)
2) Exploring the features of spoken language - analysing the words and the way in which they are used...
3) Public attitudes - how members of the public respond to different ways of speaking, in different situations
I intend to focus on the ways in which presenters engage their audience, comparing two different styles of presenter. We will study the basics of spoken language for one week, then move on to the following presenters:
Bruce Forsyth
Jeremy Clarkson
Dick and Dom
Jamie Oliver
You will then prepare for your controlled assessment by choosing one to focus on, and developing your ideas for that extract.
